<image:title>Greenwich - A lovely village with a strong sense of community</image:title>
<image:caption>Considered a quiet place to live, you’ll find a mixture of single-family dwellings, units and townhouses. The local 'Village' shopping centre on Greenwich Road opposite the school and down the hill has a local supermarket, a bottle shop, a post office, hairdressers, coffee shops, a physiotherapist, a chemist, a fish & chip restaurant, a real estate agent and a medical practice. Larger supermarkets and a wider selection of retail shopping are located in Lane Cove about four kilometres to the west and at Crows Nest, about three kilometres to the east. The village offers a remarkable range of community services and activities for a suburb of its size.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Alan Winney Having lived for much of my earlier days overseas, it was a natural progression for my working career to be in the travel industry. I spent the first 7 years travelling the world as a Purser with P & O, before moving to Australia from the UK. I then moved from the shipping industry to the Airline industry and worked over a number of years for various major international airlines in an increasingly senior management role. During this period I completed a Diploma in Business Management and an International Air Transport Course with INSEAD held in Switzerland. My final role in the travel industry was in a senior management position in one of Australia’s leading retail travel groups. I am currently involved in our Company Business of Career Development and Management and have ongoing involvement in the Greenwich Community Association.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Karen Macalister-Hohnen Karen and her husband Simon Hohnen found Greenwich as newlyweds in October 1988, just in time for the inaugural Greenwich Village Games. As migrants to NSW, they found a strong Community connection and made many strong friendships via school, sport, book clubs, neighbours and an annual street party. Gore Street above the Bob Campbell Oval has been our home for 33 years with Archie our son and numerous local wildlife that have enriched our lives above the treetops. It is humbling to be part of a vast, natural green space as our backyard and so close to our vibrant city of Sydney.</image:caption>
